URGENT UPDATE - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Japanese title for Snakes on a Plane has been confirmed. I repeat, the Japanese title for Snakes on a Plane has been confirmed.

It is 『スネーク・フライト』 (Sunēku furaito, i.e. Snake Flight).

I am... disappointed.

Popularity factor: 4

28481k:

There is a pun here so don't be too disappointed:

フライト is fright as well as flight...

Matt:

Mm.. I guess. But as you can see at the official site (the link to which I just fixed, ahem), they've gone so far as to change the graphic so that it says "SNAKE FLIGHT"... so it's not a pun they're willing to stand behind! (they could have hidden the "L" behind a snake).

Anonymous:

I thought it would be something like...

「蛇の飛行機〜新型恋愛に乗りましょう!〜」

to attract the dating crowd.

IbaDaiRon:

I just saw the TV advert for the first time yesterday. (Hey, the inaka, man, what can I say?)

I immediately thought of the flight/fright pun, too.

Huiendishry crebel!
